Immediately after the July 4th Parade, Monterey State Historic Park volunteers dressed in historic costumes took visitors back in time with interactive exhibits to educate kids about what life was like in the Monterey area in the 19th century. You could learn the fandango, make rope, and play games of the era among other things. There was also Captain Cooper's restored coach and wagons on display. Photos by Sheldon Chang.
